The Library holds an important collection of material in the area of physical oceanography including: tides, dynamics of shelf and slope seas, sea level, marine pollution, numerical modelling, sedimentation, sediment measurements and dynamics.
Currently, the stock comprises around 5,000 books and conference proceedings, about 16,000 reports and reprints as well as maps, atlases, charts, cd-roms, videos and a slide collection. About 80 current journals are subscribed to with others being obtained on "gift and exchange"
