Description:
We are a small library in a rural community in the Thumb of Michigan called Deckerville.
Our building was built in 1880 and was the first church in the Village. It was a prefab building that was brought to the area by ship and delivered to the present site by horse and wagons. Our library was organized in 1924 by the Women’s Club of Deckerville.
We are updating our local history section with the help of our staff and volunteers. We are also putting as much local history information as we can on our website.
Come and visit the small library with the big heart. We are here to serve.
