The only comprehensive health sciences library in New Mexico. Using advanced information systems and a state-of-the art collection of print, electronic and audio-visual materials, the Library serves the needs of UNM Health Sciences Center academic and clinical programs; supports health care providers throughout the state and the Navajo Nation; and provides information resources for the citizens of New Mexico. Advanced informatics systems provide access to the literature of medicine to students and preceptors in programs throughout the state. A staff of highly trained professionals assists health providers with services that can be delivered directly to the care site. The Library's active outreach program offers traditional services such as online literature searches and document delivery, and on-site instructional seminars in the use of new information technologies to practitioners regardless of their geographic location.
