Library of Academy of Economic Studies from Moldova Library Site www.lib.ase.md City     Chisinau Province/State     Moldova Country     Moldova Library Type     University library Description     Library was created in 1991, once with the foundation of the Academy of Economic Studies and at present holds over 500 000 volumes.Even from the first three years of existence it managed to become recognized as the main institution of the country which offers documentary support in the fields of management, marketing, finance, accounting, cybernetics, international economic relations.Many prominent personalities from the Republic of Moldova and from abroad, as well as the Soros Foundation, French Alliance, Embassies of the USA, Germany and Romania, and different professional associations contributed to formation of the Books Fund. Today, the international exchange of publications is done with 65 partners from 41 countries.Through a bilateral agreement signed in 1993, and which is reconfirmed every 2 years, the Library of AESM was recognized as the depository of the World Bank and of the International Monetary Fund social-economic publications.For those approximately 9000 annual beneficiaries there are 6 reading rooms with the surface of 1140 square meters, 500 sits, 85 terminals which ensures OPAC access in the reference room and in two reading rooms.
