The library of the National Institute for the Evaluation of the Education System is specialised in education and is firstly a resource for conducting research and other activities of the Institute. The library’s catalogue is particularly important, containing a specialist collection. It focuses on educational evaluation and measurement, education policies, primary and secondary education, teaching and teacher-training, educational innovation, educational psychology, linguistic education and the history of education. The library has over 9,000 books. The periodicals section is particularly rich and includes over 700 titles of which 200 are current subscriptions. It has grown over the years and now represents an asset that is unique in many respects among the specialised libraries in the education field in Italy.
